  • CharmRay Laser donated 300 sets of 3D printing medical goggles to Hubei
  • 2020-03-09

On the afternoon of June 6, Shandong Chuang Rui Laser Technology Co., Ltd. donated 300 pairs of medical goggles to Xiangyang, Hubei Province, and the Logistics Department of the company arranged for SF express to send them as soon as possible. This is the 3D printing medical goggles independently developed by the company, which is also the only enterprise in our province with 3D printing medical goggles qualification. Up to now, more than 2300 3D printed medical goggles have been donated to the front line of epidemic prevention and control.

In the production workshop of Chuang Rui laser technology, the reporter saw that Luo Han, a technician, was controlling 11 3D printing equipment, which produced exactly the medical goggles that were currently in urgent need of to stop the epidemic.

"We are now working overtime to increase production and supply the front-line epidemic prevention personnel in a timely manner." Lu Zhongli, general manager of the company, told reporters that in order to speed up the production of equipment, the company invested nearly 10 million yuan in the purchase and production of 3D printing equipment.

"The key is R & D." Lu said that since the end of January, the R & D Department of the company has urgently held a network meeting to set up a goggle project, and the R & D team has given up their vacation and entered the "sleepless" R & D and design state. The drawing design was completed on February 5, and the purchasing personnel started to purchase, ensuring that the equipment and R & D raw materials needed for the start-up test on February 10 were in place, and the production of the first 3D printed medical goggle sample was completed in less than a week. In order to ensure that the R & D products meet the national requirements for medical devices, the R & D personnel learn and digest the national standards while optimizing the design and repeatedly verifying. "At first, the anti fog effect of the lens was not ideal. We tested PC lens, anti fog oil and other ways, and finally finalized the double-sided anti fog lens." Another focus of research and development is to optimize the facial curve, which has been tested many times, Lu said. After that, after adjusting the size and installation height of the goggles, adjusting the elastic force of the elastic band, realizing the cooperation between the goggles and the mask and a series of debugging, the product finalization design was completed in nearly a week.

Race against time and declare war on the virus. Lu Zhongli told reporters that after the completion of the design, the company went to the municipal Market Supervision Bureau in time for approval and filing, and the market supervision bureau hereby opened a green approval channel, which completed the registration and filing of a class of medical device products and production license access in only two days. At present, Chuang Rui Laser Technology Co., Ltd. is the only company in Shandong Province with 3D printing medical goggles qualification. At the same time, the company cooperates with the General Institute of mechanical science, and the draft of group standard technical requirements for additive manufacturing (3D printing) medical isolation eye mask has also been completed.

"3D printing has the advantage of rapid emergency production. In special periods such as epidemic prevention and control, the company can control 11 devices by one person, which is very efficient, and effectively reduces personnel contact and infection risk." More than 11 3D printing devices are working 24 hours a day, with more than 500 sets of goggles a day, Lu said.

The success of 3D printing medical goggles is no accident. As a technology company engaged in research and development of 3D printing for many years, Chuang Rui laser also owns the first metal 3D printer in Shandong Province. Currently, the double laser metal 3D printer under research and development is expected to be officially put into production in June this year. At that time, the printing efficiency of industrial test modules can be increased by about 40%. Lu Zhongli also disclosed that at present, the company is preparing for the fourth long wind plan forum. On the basis of the previous three consecutive forums, the level and scale of this forum will be improved. It will focus on 3D printing, intelligent manufacturing and other in-depth discussions to contribute to the high-quality development of manufacturing industry.
